Living, Staying, Aging in Place

Living or Aging in Place supports the goal of staying in your own home while maintaining convenience, accessibility, and safety.  Single adults, couples, housemates, multigenerational families, may all find themselves needing to    address today's needs, tomorrow's challenges and whatever the future may hold.

Who Has Accessibility Needs?
More than 67 million US adults are living with physical disabilities.
Homeowners or guests and visitors may use mobility aids such as a walker or wheelchair, require full or part-time caregiver support, or simply need some adaptations for arthritis or low vision. Three million children also fall into this category, making accessibility a concern for many families.

Did You Know…
Assisted living facilities can cost over $100k/year which might easily fund the modifications needed to age in place. Falls in the home are a leading cause of mortality and morbidity, but the risk can be greatly reduced with good planning. The majority of Americans prefer to stay in their own homes as they age versus entering a nursing home (1,2,3,4) Clinical professionals can advise on adaptations, and provide the optimal combination of safety and aesthetics helping you create a home that is comfortable, safe and beautiful.
